141. Theme 68 ~Damaged~

So this is the tree where both the Red-bellied woodpecker and Rocky Raccoon live.  It was hit pretty hard by that bizarre snowstorm.  Entire limbs snapped off and blocked the street.  Some Village workers came during the storm with equipment and pushed them out of the way, then came back today and cut them into manageable sizes and carted them away.  I hope Rocky’s ok,…..I saw Woody, so at least he hasn’t been forced to move!  Some parts of my town and other areas in  surrounding counties still have no electricity and/or heat. We went to the supermarket yesterday and found nothing that had been refrigerated was for sale because they lost their power until about 9 am yesterday morning and had to discard everything.   So much for man-made global warming, I never believed it anyway!  Time to give the Nobel back Al!   = )

  3. So much destruction caused by Mother Nature. The image of the broken tree with its leaf covered branches covered with snow is both sad and beautiful.

  4. Sadness comes over me when viewing the destructiveness of Mother Nature. I guess change is the only certain thing about this world of ours. Will hope recovery is quick for your area.
