I like the B&W better. To me, it removes the distraction of that colored patch of bare ground, allowing the eye to concentrate on the textures of the snow and the rushing water.
I’m finally getting to your photos this week and they sure don’t disappoint! I love the colored image of the running water because I can pick out so much more detail with the water, brown leaves and the shading of the ice. Beautiful! I’d like to hear it though because that is such a refreshing sound!
